Sudoku
About Sudoku
Sudoku is a classic logic puzzle where you complete a 9×9 grid using the numbers 1 through 9. The board is divided into nine 3×3 boxes, with several numbers already provided as clues. Your task is to fill every empty cell without repeating a number in any row, column, or box.
Despite using numbers, Sudoku does not require calculations. Progress comes from logic, deduction, and elimination. Each number you place narrows the possibilities elsewhere on the grid, gradually revealing the solution. Easier puzzles can often be solved by scanning for obvious missing numbers, while harder boards require careful use of candidates and more advanced patterns. The simple rules combined with increasingly complex deductions make Sudoku an enduring brain challenge.
Puzzle Highlights
- Classic 9×9 Grid: Complete 81 cells divided into nine 3×3 boxes.
- Logic-Based Puzzles: Solve each board through deduction rather than calculation.
- Number Elimination: Use rows, columns, and boxes to narrow possible answers.
- Candidate Tracking: Mark possible numbers when the correct answer is not yet clear.
- Brain Training: Practice concentration, pattern recognition, and logical thinking.
How to Play Sudoku
The goal is to fill the entire grid so that every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 - 9 exactly once.
Scan, Eliminate, and Fill the Grid
Look for rows, columns, or 3×3 boxes that are nearly complete. Identify the missing numbers, then check intersecting areas to eliminate impossible positions. When only one number can legally fit in a cell, place it there.
If the answer is not obvious, use Notes or pencil marks to record possible candidates. Continue eliminating candidates as new numbers are placed. Each correct deduction provides more information, allowing you to work through the grid without relying on random guesses.

Logic Solving Tips
- Scan First: Start with rows, columns, and boxes that have fewer empty cells.
- Find Missing Numbers: Check which digits from 1–9 are still needed.
- Use Candidates: Mark possible answers when a cell is uncertain.
- Cross-Check the Grid: A number must satisfy its row, column, and 3×3 box.
- Avoid Guessing: Use elimination and deduction before placing a number.
