Pokerogue
What Is Pokerogue?
Pokerogue is a card-based Roguelike RPG in which poker hands form the main weapon. When you enter dungeons you are collecting cards to compose hands like pairs, straights, flushes, or full houses to attack enemies and use special effects.
Each run is different. Maps, events, loot, and foes are procedurally generated, and at the point of death, the game restarts. Nevertheless, progression systems enable you to learn new classes and skills with time, and each play is more tactical than the previous one.
How to Play Pokerogue
The essence of the gameplay is in planning, chance and adjusting:
- Form Poker Hands - This is a release card that combines drawn cards to make valid poker hands in combat.
- Fight Enemies - More powerful hands are more damaging or have properties of the classes.
- Collect Relics - Modify how cards, hands, and abilities interact
- Progress Through the Dungeon - Face waves of enemies and bosses in turn-based battles
Success comes from understanding odds, managing your deck, and choosing upgrades that synergize with your playstyle.
