What Is GeoGuessr?

GeoGuessr is a map-based quiz game, an online game, in which the participants are dropped somewhere in the world on a Street View and have to locate that place on a world map. The nearer your guess is to the actual place, the higher the points you are getting. Every session involves several rounds and your overall score at the end of it shows the degree of sharpness of your global awareness.

How to Play GeoGuessr

Getting started is easy, even if your geography skills are a bit rusty:

• Spawn into a location: You’ll appear in a random place via Street View.
• Explore and observe: Move around, rotate the camera, and search for clues like language, road markings, or climate.
• Make your guess: Click on the minimap to mark where you think you are.
• Score and repeat: See how close you were and continue through several rounds.
