About Dashmetry

Dashmetry is a fast-paced rhythm platformer where timing one simple input can mean the difference between a perfect run and an instant restart. Your icon moves forward automatically while you jump over spikes, cross gaps, pass through portals, and react to obstacle patterns synchronized with the music.

The challenge becomes deeper as portals transform your icon between different movement forms, including Cube, Ship, Ball, UFO, Wave, Robot, and Spider. Each follows its own movement rules, forcing you to adjust quickly without changing the basic controls. Beyond completing built-in stages, you can practice difficult sections with checkpoints, test your endurance in Endless Mode, or race a bot. A built-in Level Editor and community-created levels add even more courses to master, giving Dashmetry plenty to explore after you learn the basics.

Key Features of Dashmetry

  • Rhythm-Based Platforming: Time your movements around music, hazards, and rapidly changing obstacle patterns.
  • Seven Movement Forms: Switch between Cube, Ship, Ball, UFO, Wave, Robot, and Spider gameplay.
  • Dynamic Portals: Adapt to changes in gravity, speed, size, and movement style during a run.
  • Multiple Game Modes: Play standard levels, train with Practice checkpoints, challenge Endless Mode, or race against a bot.
  • Level Editor & Community Levels: Create custom courses and take on challenges designed by other players.

How to Play Dashmetry

Your character moves automatically, so there is no need to control its forward direction. Instead, success depends on recognizing patterns and using the right input at exactly the right moment.

Master Rhythm, Obstacles, and Movement Forms

At first, the goal seems simple: jump over spikes and avoid crashing into obstacles. As levels progress, portals can suddenly change your movement rules, gravity, speed, or size.

As the Cube, tap to jump. The Ship rises while you hold the input and descends when you release it. The Ball flips gravity, while the UFO makes a separate aerial hop with each tap. Wave sections require you to control diagonal movement through tight spaces, and Robot and Spider sections introduce their own timing patterns.

Because one mistake can restart a Normal Mode attempt, learning a level is part of the challenge. Watch upcoming portals, memorize difficult sequences, and use the music as an additional timing cue.

Explore Game Modes

  • Normal Mode challenges you to complete a full level without crashing. Repeated attempts help you memorize hazards and gradually push farther toward the finish.
  • Practice Mode adds checkpoints, making it easier to repeat difficult sections without restarting the entire course. Once you understand the pattern, return to Normal Mode and attempt a clean run.
  • Endless Mode shifts the focus from reaching a fixed finish to surviving and pushing your score farther. Race Mode provides another variation by putting you against a bot on a selected course, where finishing quickly becomes just as important as avoiding mistakes.

Tips for Beating Difficult Levels

  • Learn Each Form Separately: Cube timing will not prepare you for every Ship, Wave, or gravity-switching section.
  • Watch Portals Ahead: Recognizing the next form or gravity change gives you time to adjust your timing.
  • Use Practice Mode: Repeat difficult sequences with checkpoints before attempting a full Normal run.
  • Listen to the Music: Beats can provide useful timing cues for jumps and obstacle transitions.
  • Stay Controlled in Wave and Ship Sections: Small, deliberate inputs are often safer than long holds in narrow passages.

Follow the rhythm, learn every transformation, and turn one more attempt into a perfect run in Dashmetry.
